Medicare and Health Insurance is a program for people who are 65 years or older,
people under age 65 with certain disabilities, and people of all ages with End-Stage
Renal Disease. Medicare and Health Insurance has the following programs: Hospital
Insurance where most people don't reimburse a premium for Hospital Insurance because
a partner or a member of the family has already paid for it through their payroll
taxes while working.
It covers inpatient care in hospitals, including critical access hospitals and skilled
nursing facilities (not custodial or long-term care). It also helps cover hospice
care and home health care. Beneficiaries must meet certain conditions to get these

benefits and the medical benefits. Mainly, recipients are eligible to receive Medicare
and Health Insurance benefits after two years starting from the day of entitlement.

Medicare supplemental plans, also known as Medigap, are designed to cover the gaps
in Original Medicare. Medicare and Health Insurance policies are private insurance
policies that cover Medicare coinsurance, co-payments and deductibles that you'd
otherwise have to pay yourself. Some Medicare and Health Insurance policies also
pay for costs not covered by Original Medicare.
